Sparkly Kids Birthday card

So, 3 times a year (sometimes more), our island demonstrators get together for a meeting.  This year, it has almost all been virtually.  We usually have a card swap and the rules are you have to use the new products.  So, in our June meeting, we use the new annual catalogue.  September and January meetings, we use products from the mini catalogues.  I wanted to do something very different with products I didn't think others would use or products that I thought might be a challenge for demonstrators to figure out how to use.  This is what I came up with.

I loved how this turned out and it is so easy to make.

Materials used include:
Zany Zebras stamp set
Layering Oval dies
Rainbow Glimmer Paper
White cardstock
Granny Apple Green cardstock
Blackberry Bliss cardstock
Memento ink
Bermuda Bay ink
Mango Melody ink
Magenta Madness ink
Mango Melody stampin blends

Peony Birthday Card

My eldest daughter's birthday was coming up and I wanted to make her a special card.  She was fascinated by the Prized Peony Stamp set and coordinating dies, so I decided to use these to design her card.  She loved it!

For this card, I did some tone on tone stamping to create the background as I did not want to take away from the 3D peony.

Materials used:

  • Prized Peony Stamp set
  • Prized Peony dies
  • Lovely Labels Pick a Punch
  • Best Year stamp set for sentiment
  • Basic Grey cardstock
  • Petal Pink cardstock

Poinsettia Wreath

With the holidays coming, I thought I would try making a wreath using the Poinsettia dies in the Holiday catalogue.  This was very easy to do.  Just a little time consuming as I had to cut out 15 sets of poinsettia petals.  Fortunately, I could do all 3 sizes at the same time.  Easy to do while watching my favourite shows.  The added "bling" was by using the pearl beads, gold foil paper and Wink a Stella.  I loved how this turned out and it can be used year after year.

Products used include:

  • Real Red Cardstock
  • Garden Green Cardstock
  • Gold Foil Paper
  • Poinsettia Dies
  • Beaded Pearls
  • cardboard

Curvey Christmas Card

Today, I decided to use the Curvy Christmas stamp set and coordinating dies to make a card.  I was looking for something that would suit the different traditions of the holidays, not necessarily Christmas as we have many friends who celebrate other holidays.  I think this card turned out perfectly.

Materials used include:

  • Curvy Christmas stamp set
  • Curvy dies
  • Shaded spruce ink
  • Versamark ink
  • Silver embossing powder
  • Shaded Spruce cardstock
  • Whisper White cardstock
  • Silver 3/8" Metallic Edge Ribbon

A tutorial on how this card was made can be seen here.
