Floating Flap Fun Fold Card

I was participating in a card swap with our local demonstrator team meeting and wanted to do a fun fold.  I got this idea from SueStampfield.  I just love the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.  I find that it gives a very striking contrast with a white background and navy accents.

I also love using the Two Tone Flora Stamp Set.  This two step stamping technique is so easy to do.

Materials and sizes used for this card are:

• Two Toned Flora stamp set
• Go To Greetings stamp set for sentiment
• Layering Leaves stamp set for sentiment
• Countryside Blooms Embossing Folder
• Night of Navy Ink
• Balmy Blue Ink
• Basic White Thick Cardstock:  5.5 x 8.5 inches; score at 2 1/8 and 4 1/4 inches on long side
• Basic White Cardstock:  
•         1 7/8 x 5 1/4 (you will need two)
•         2 5/8 x 3 5/8 (1 piece)
•         3 x 4 (1 piece)
•         2 1/4 x 3; score at 3/4, 1 1/2, 2 1/4 on long side
• Night of Navy Cardstock:      2 3/4 x 3 3/4 (1 piece)
• Countryside Inn DSP:  4 x 5 1/4"

Whale Watching Card

 Living on the West Coast of Canada, we see lots of Orcas, particularly in the summer.  When I saw the Whale Watching stamp set in the mini catalogue, I knew I had to get it.  I also wanted to do a card as if I was looking out a port window on a ship.  This reminded me of the Alaskan cruise we were recently on.

Simple Autumn Card

 Some of the Designer Series Paper that is in the new mini catalogue is just gorgeous.  The All About Autumn paper is almost all you need.  I wanted to showcase this beautiful paper.

Translucent Florals Simple Stamping Card

Every month, Stampin Up sets up a Simple Stamping challenge.  This month, it is a thank you card, using paper, ink and stamps.  I wanted to have a chance to play with the Translucent stamp set so this is what I came up with.

Materials used:

• Basic White cardstock (3.75 x 5")
• Basic White Thick cardstock (card base)
• Berry Burst cardstock (4 x 5.25")
• Berry Burst ink
• Mossy Meadow ink
• Memento Ink
• Translucent Florals stamp set
• Go to Greetings stamp set

Another version, using the sentiments in the Translucent Florals set.

Layering Leaves Card

 Another project that was made for our Alaska Papercrafting cruise was this card using the Layering Leaves stamp set and coordinating punch.  I love the layered look and find it is an elegant looking card, especially with the ribbon with the gold accents.

Using a couple different green inks and stamping off the ink, provided some depth to the card.

Scrappy Card

 I wanted to create a card using up all the little bits of Designer Series paper I had from the Country Inn suite as I love this paper so much.  I didn't want to waste any of it.  So, this is what I came up with.  A simple, quick card which uses leftover designer paper.

Material and measurements are:

Night of Navy cardstock

1 - 5.5 x 8.5", score on long side at 4.25"

Misty Moonlight cardstock

2 - 4 x 5.25"

Basic White Cardstock

2 = 3.75 x 5"

 I love the Two Tone Flora Stamp Set.  This is a two step stamping technique and the contrast is so amazing.

Triple Layered Card

 This was another card that I designed for the Papercrafting Cruise.  I wanted to do something a little different than other triple layered cards I have seen, so I tilted the layers.  I am really happy how this turned out.

Fold Back Fun Fold Card

 This is one of the cards that I designed for the product based class I taught while on our inaugural Papercrafting cruise to Alaska.  The trip was fabulous and I am looking forward to planning the next one. 

This card is actually very simple to make.  A list of supplies and measurements are below.

Misty Moonlight 

        5 1/2 x 8 1/2".  Score on long side: 2 1/8, 4 1/4"

        2 - 1 3/4" square

        2 - 2 3/4" square

Country Inn Designer series paper:  

        3 pieces 1 7/8 x 5 1/4" (I did 2 different patterns)

        1 - 1 3/4" square, cut on diagonal

White cardstock

        2 - 2 1/2" square - cut one on diagonal.

        2 - 1 1/2" square

Old Olive Ink
