Embossed Enduring Beauty Card

We recently had another team meeting and card swap.  I love the Enduring Beauty set so decided to try using embossing powder with this set.  I just love how this turned out.  I had originally tried using embossing paste, but that just made a mess and I didn't like how it turned out.

Materials used:

  • Night of Navy cardstock:  5.5 x 8.5"  scored on long side at 4.25"
  • Balmy Blue cardstock:  4 x 5.25" (x 2)
  • Basic White cardstock: 3.75 x 5" (x 2)
  • Silver Embossing powder
  • Versa Mark ink
  • Balmy Blue ink
  • Old Olive ink
  • Starry Sky Ink
  • Mossy Meadow Ink
  • Night of Navy Ink

Here is a video on how to do this card.

February Card Swap

Each month, we have a team meeting and sometimes there is a card swap.  The theme this time was to use products that are in the Jan-April 2024 mini catalogue and Sale-A-Bration catalogue.  The creativity of those participating was amazing.

A video showcasing these cards is here.

I would love to see your creations using these catalogues as well.

Post It Note Booklets

Today, I decided to share how to make little Post It Note Booklets.  These are very popular in my craft fairs.  Really easy to make.  The challenge is just finding the mini pens that go with them.

These are great for using up little pieces of designer series paper as well.

A tutorial can be found here.

Trusty Tools Masculine Card

When the new mini catalogue came out, I knew I had to get the Trusty Tools Bundle.  My dad was very handy and probably had almost every tool out there!  So today I decided to make a masculine card with this bundle.  There are so many possibilities and I know I am going to be making more cards with this bundle.

Materials used:

  • Trusty Tools Bundle - Trusty Tools stamp set, Trusty Tools dies
  • Heartfelt Hexagon Punch
  • Beautiful Balloons stamp set
  • Basic Black cardstock - base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4 on long side
  • Pool Party cardstock - 4 x 5 1/4" - cut two; also need a small scrap for punch
  • Basic White cardstock - 3 3/4 x 5" - cut two; also need a small scrap for sentiment
  • Silver foil
  • Memento Black Ink
  • Poppy Parade Ink
  • Pool Party Ink
  • Crushed Curry Ink

This is a quick card to make.  Don't forget, if you order this bundle, you can get the coordinating Designer Series paper in Sale-A-Bration for free! Only available until the end of February though.

Diagonal Gatefold Card

As part of our local team meetings, we quite often do a card swap.  The theme this time was Christmas/Holidays.  I was looking for a fun fold to do and found an alternative to the gatefold card with Lisa Curcio.  So, I put a holiday spin on it.

    • 3 x 3"
    • 3 1/2 x 5"
  • Misty Moonlight
    • 5/8 x 3 3/4" (cut 2)
    • 3 1/8 x 3 1/8"
    • 3 3/4 x 5 1/4"
  • Designer Series Paper
    • 3 3/4 x 3 3/4", cut diagonally (watch the direction of the pattern)

Floating Flap Fun Fold Card

I was participating in a card swap with our local demonstrator team meeting and wanted to do a fun fold.  I got this idea from SueStampfield.  I just love the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.  I find that it gives a very striking contrast with a white background and navy accents.

I also love using the Two Tone Flora Stamp Set.  This two step stamping technique is so easy to do.

Materials and sizes used for this card are:

  • Two Toned Flora stamp set
  • Go To Greetings stamp set for sentiment
  • Layering Leaves stamp set for sentiment
  • Countryside Blooms Embossing Folder
  • Night of Navy Ink
  • Balmy Blue Ink
  • Basic White Thick Cardstock:  5.5 x 8.5 inches; score at 2 1/8 and 4 1/4 inches on long side
  • Basic White Cardstock:
  •         1 7/8 x 5 1/4 (you will need two)
  •         2 5/8 x 3 5/8 (1 piece)
  •         3 x 4 (1 piece)
  •         2 1/4 x 3; score at 3/4, 1 1/2, 2 1/4 on long side
  • Night of Navy Cardstock:      2 3/4 x 3 3/4 (1 piece)
  • Countryside Inn DSP:  4 x 5 1/4"

The video tutorial for this card is here.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.  Please share your versions of this Fun Fold Card in the comments below!  I would love to see them.
